Miss Jo

Jo started ballet at the tender age of 2 yrs old, and from 7 yrs old she began to train in RAD ballet, ISTD tap & Modern as well as competing in local and national dance competitions.

She became All England Champion in several dance disciplines, and was offered a place at the Royal Ballet School at the age of 15. 

After 2 years, she graduated with teaching qualifications including a Royal Ballet foundation teaching Diploma (fDipRBSTTC), Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher status (RADRTS) and her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Modern Theatre Associate (AISTD).

Jo went on to complete her teaching credentials with exceptional tutor and examiner of the ISTD, Elizabeth Harrison. Achieving all 3 of her professional ISTD ballet exams with Distinction in under a year as well as 3 additional ISTD teaching associates in Imperial Ballet, Tap & National.  All of Jo’s ISTD teaching credentials were upgraded in 2007 to Diploma’s in Dance Education.

Miss Ronni

Ronni has been performing professionally in the industry since the age of 10, performing in   pantomime and acting productions such as ‘Dick Whittington - Hiss and Boo productions’ and ‘A 12th Night - The Principal Theatre Company’. At the age of 12 Ronni trod the boards, on one of London’s West End stages ‘The Theatre Royal Drury Lane’ in the production of ‘Life on Earth’.

Her passion for performing continued whilst she trained at the same local dance school as Principal Joanne Mason, who taught Ronni Ballet. Whilst at the dance school Ronni trained and took examinations in ISTD Tap and Modern, and RAD Ballet up to Advance 2.

Outside of the dance school Ronni has worked with professional choreographers and West End Musical Director - Stuart Morley, with the Millfield Youth Theatre, here Ronni not only gained tonnes of performing experience but also a wide knowledge of musical theatre.

Miss Elouise

Eloise began dancing with Jo when she was just 3yrs old, and at 15yrs old is now working towards taking her Grade 7 Ballet exam as well as 11 GCSE’s and her Grade 8 Piano!

She has been assisting Jo on Monday’s and Saturday’s for the past 3 yrs and has really become part of the family.

Eloise is also an accomplished and keen musician, playing the piano and the cornet in which she has recently passed her Grade 8 exam.

Miss Tara

Miss Tara joined Absolute dance in 2012 as Miss Jo’s assistant in the Baby Ballet classes.  She was heavily involved in our last show, Dorothy in a twist, helping with everything from choreography, rehearsals, and hair and make up to running the box office!

Tara started dancing aged 3 at the Denise School of Dance in Haslemere Surrey, where she grew up.  She studied RAD Ballet up to and including Grade 8, took her Pre Elementary, Elementary and A level Dance exams, and she also studied ISTD Tap and Modern. 

Whilst Tara was at The Royal Naval Senior school for Girls she studied GCSE music, played the flute and progressed up to Grade 7 in her singing lessons.

She has competed in countless dance festivals and shows, picking up plenty of medals and trophies along the way.

Miss Lorna

Miss Lorna joined Absolute Dance in January 2014 as Miss Jo's PA.  She deals primarily with enquiries, credit control and all things "Adminy".

After being hooked by the tv series Fame, in the 80s, Lorna started her very brief (2 year) dancing career studying, ballet, tap and modern at Adele's School of Dance in Cricklewood.  

Outside of Absolute Dance, Lorna is a Legal Administrator, part qualified Legal Executive and she recently qualified as an Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Rocket 1 yoga teacher.
